Case: Google Merchant Center Account Recovery
Challenge:
The client’s Google Merchant Center account was suspended due to a Misrepresentation policy violation, preventing products from being advertised and sold through Google Shopping.
Solution:
I conducted a comprehensive review of the Shopify-based website to identify the root causes of the suspension. The primary issue was non-compliant medical-related text and imagery, which triggered Google’s Misrepresentation policy.
To resolve the issue, I removed or revised all non-compliant medical content, updated shipping terms, optimized key website pages for policy compliance, and added the required product identifiers. After implementing these changes, the Merchant Center account was successfully restored, allowing the client to resume advertising and sales.
